I want my magazine to have a very individual style to it. I can't find an exact magazine already on the market that looks the same as how I would like mine to look. The magazines that do have the same kind of design as the one I would look to create are 'FHM' and 'MAXIM' but I feel the covers of these are too busy and I want mine to br simple, grey, etchy colours with a miminalist yet modern feel to it.
The magazine will be specific to a Indie/Rock genre and will feature bands such as The Kings of Leon and Kasabian. In my double page spread I would like to include a strip down one of the pages to promote the top 5 albums my magazine would recommend. Names I am thinking about are: 'Noise' or 'Sound.'
I've got high hopes for your work Tom. Next you need to complete you initial ideas post adding images of cover designs that inspire you nad tehn you need t do another post where you do the textual analysis of a cover that we discussed in class yesterday.
