Evaluation Of My College Magazine Cover

I think the photograph and the colour scheme works well in my magazine cover. I am pleased I was able to take the photo and edit it to make it look as proffesional as properly. I chose the monotone blue and orange as my main colour as these are already the colours that symbolise the college. I chose to use 'Party' as my main cover line as we started to create the cover shortly after a college party so I believe students would enjoy reading about it and looking at all the pictures that would be included. Also as half term was coming up I decided to do a feature on suggestions for what to do in half term. The university feature is for those students who are confused about applying for uni and so it just gives them tips and advice.

I didn't want to make the language to complecated as I know that students much prefer to read text that is in tune with them so it's easier to understand. Sentences were kept short so readers didn't lose interest and were easily inticed.

I chose the masthead style to be above the photo of tom and simply infront of a plain background because this makes it stand out more and it catches the readers eye easier.
