What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

There are a range of different sized magazine companies, the largest in Britain and the rest of Europe is Bauer who create 282 magazines in 15 countries with 6,600 employees worldwide and an annual turnover of 1.79 billion Euro. I believe this would be the right publisher to distribute my magazine. Kerrang, Mojo, Q, FHM, and Arean are all current titles that Bauer publish that target a similar audience. I think that my magazine straddles these publications and therefore would fit neatly within this entertainment/fashion/music/male mag sub-genre. My title would be a good publication to span their existing fashion and music titles and it would also serve them well in terms of cross advertising as it would appeal to readers from their other publication such as FHM and it could be easily advertised in their many other titles. Bauer have a number of music channels and so there would be a good synergy between the music magazine, the online version of the magazine and their music channels. In addition the magazine website would link to music websites such as myspace, facebook and spotify. Another synergistic thing to do would be to sell my magazine on the counters of fashion stores such as Topman and Riverisland. This would advertise the magazine to the exact audience the magazine is appealing to.
