What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have learnt many new techniques whilst producing my magazine cover, contents and double page spread. I used photoshop to create them and so my use and knowledge of the tools and effects you can use on there have been widened greatly, the tools and effects I used includes, bevelling, gradients, I used the ruler tool to create exact spacing between columns on my double page spread and contents, the magic wand, the stamp and clone tool and I used the colour matching tool on a lot of things such as the coverlines.

I also learnt how to conduct a proper photoshoot, I attempted to do one without using lighting or a background, I wasn't happy with how these photo's came out and so I decided to do another one, this time using a spot light, a white backdrop and I also used style guides which were covers from magazines I liked and felt were similar to mine, for example FHM and Attitude.

I also learnt how to create my own online blog using the ‘blogger’ internet webpage and I now know how to upload pictures complete with annotations to my blog because of the use of the online programme, ‘flickr’. In addition to the computer programmes I used, my use with cameras and lighting improved, I learnt how to control the effects on the digital camera and also how best to position the light in order to achieve the best effect.
